Nexus mod manager download not working 2018

Do NOT put your entire issue summary in the title. I have it all installed correctly I think , but when I go to download something using the button 'Download with manager', nothing happens.

Make sure you are running NMM as admin. It cannot create the symbolic links if it is not. Saved NMM onto a drive fallout was on and it worked. Thank you so much for that. I was really not expecting for achievements to still be locked now on with it though. It makes sense but still kinda bummed. I downloaded some mods last October which worked fine. Then I started NMM again yesterday, updated and tried to download some other mods and was faced with this problem.

We had some reports, but still need more info. Is it happening for all downloads, or only some of them? I have this problen but when i open my game The mods section is Blacked out and the game is not able to open new mods. Sorry for the ramblings but am 73 years old. I am also having this problem. None of the NMM download buttons are doing anything after the 'Your download should automatically begin within a few seconds.

I tried probably two dozen mods between FO4, Skyrim and Morrowind.
